Hello and welcome to Plentiful Penny! The contents of this blog will be about anything that relates to Finance and any personal stories that are about money. Before I go any further  let me introduce myself.

My name is Catherine Morgan and I am a Georgia State University Alumni. I love listening to music and watching movies! My favorite color is orange and I am the oldest child in my family. I am  originally from Johns Creek, Georgia (also known as Alpharetta), but when I was in college I lived in Downtown Atlanta.

My blog is for Black women between the ages of 18-25 who aren't afraid to build wealth and understand that money does not provide happiness. This blog is meant to empower women and encourage them to take charge of their financial life. I want to bring awareness to women that the goal of money is to provide security, give them more freedom and have control over their life

 The reason why I am starting this blog is because I want to help women learn and teach women about financial education. I believe that this type of education should be taught in school but unfortunately it is not. As I am transitioning into adulthood I have noticed that we are taught about everything BUT personal finance. This just simply doesn't make sense to me. I don't think that it is fair and I want to change that. I really and truly want to bring awareness to this topic because it is important.

As I stated above earlier, some of the content on this blog will be about my personal experiences or short stories about others that are in my life. But don't worry the stories and experiences I share with you are all relevant and most importantly, true.

A person I would like to thank is my dear friend Marquis for encouraging me to do this. I really appreciate you listening to my hundred and one excuses as to why I can't do this blog. Also I would like to thank both of my parents for their wisdom and support.
